Prada Ad

I'm not crazy for the bananas but I do want that pink/black & white striped boa!
This is one of the coolest ad campaigns I've seen in a long long time.

Barneys

I don't know why but I think this picture is amazing. I didn't even notice the crabs at first. Maybe that PS1-has something to do with it though.

LOVE

I am most definitely aware of the fact that I'm not a bracelet-kind of person, although I've been wearing my Return to Tiffany's-one on a daily basis, but I fell in love with this jewel years ago and lately, the LOVE-ad campaign seems to be featured in every magazine that I come across, which makes me want the bracelet even more.

I'm crazy for the fact that the LOVE-bracelet needs to be un-cuffed using a tiny screwdriver and that it's so plain and minimalistic, yet timeless. But maybe it's too simple for Cartier'ish-amounts of money? Anyone any idea how much the white gold ones are? By the way, those bulky rings in the Panthère by Cartier-collection are pretty amazing as well. How I wish I wore rings...

PS: Still on my wish list ... totally different style, both in the same price range though ...

M*A*C

Has anyone seen the products of the M*A*C Fabulous Feline-line in person? I haven't yet but I am totally crazy for the campagne ad though...

Bulgari banned

I can't believe Venice would ban such a great ad. And I always thought Venice had a thing for lions?

Blue de Chanel

Help! Since I miss working on my thesis, I've been looking for the new Scorsese-ad for Chanel's new fragrance, but I can't seem to find it anywhere: every time I enter "Blue de Chanel" on video-search engines, I end up with make-up tutorials...

I read about the ad online a while back, and I also found an article on the making of in next month's Glamour-issue, but no sign yet of the actual video...

Christian Louboutin

I just stumbled on these Louboutin-pictures. Rumour goes that these are part of the brand's ad campaign, which apparently is a first since the French designer doesn't need to advertise.

What do you think of them? They've got that bizarre CL-twist on them, no?

Coca Cola Light by Karl Lagerfeld

Apparently, Karl Lagerfeld shot Coca Cola Light's last campaign. The models starring are Coco Rocha and  his beloved Baptiste Giabiconi. Am I the only one who thinks this picture is quite boring?

Edit: To whoever that cares: The campaign will be released in France on the 28th of April and limited edition boxes will be available Galeries Lafayette and Colette (WWD).

Prada Parfums

Prada is on a roll, fashion film-wise. The video is so cute and lovable. But then again, any campaign with Daria Werbowy in it, is.

And by the way, next to Terre d'Hermès, the 'Prada' perfume by Prada -the rechargeable one with hand-pump- is my absolute favorite! Too bad they finish up so fast.

Chanel Short Film

Remember the Scorsese/Chanel-collaboration, I told you about earlier?

According to Belmodo.tv and other prominent fashion news pages, the film the director shot in Brooklyn is Chanel's new perfume campaign. Since at least some parts of the commercial have been shot a while back, I hope it won't be too long before the ad airs.

But taken Martin Scorsese's oeuvre into account, I'm pretty sure it will be as good as my all-time favorite Chanel perfume campaign.

McQueen Ad

As if Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010-show wasn't crazy enough: I just found the latest ad campaign by the brand and it is definitely my favorite one this season. Top model Raquel Zimmermann covered in dozens of colorful snakes. You can hardly tell where the reptiles end and where McQueen's outfit begins. To top it off, the whole thing was shot by Nick Knight: Amazing symbiosis!

Chanel Short Film

It seems like Chanel too is aiming for the haute couture goes short film-crown. It has only been a while since word got out about the Dior/David Lynch collaboration, and now -according to Dossier- no-one other than mastermind Martin Scorsese shot a commercial for Chanel. Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Great things are about to come.

Edit: The actor and model starring in this project, according to Chic Report.

Balenciaga

When I saw the video of Balenciaga's last fashion show, I immediately fell in love with: 1. that first hoodie-look down the runway, 2. the hidden, subtle neon fabric in the pleats and 3. the neon make-up. I could not remember the zipper/stripped mini-dresses, until I saw the new ad campaign, which is remarkable composition wise. However, it will have to grow on me, since I'm still more obsessed with the other items in the show.

More Steven Meisel-pictures please, marketing team!

Lanvin

For over a week now, the Spring/Summer 2010 Campaign of Lanvin has been going through my mind. I think it's a very surreal image, to say the least and the dresses are as always pure divine. And it's probably just a matter of time before Anna Dello Russo, fashion director of Vogue Nippon, shows up at some fashion hotspot in one of these creations.

A Lanvin dress is already on my wishlist for 2010.

Edit: I don't know why but the body painted model reminds me of The Scream by Munch. Even more surreal.
