Okay, these Isabel Marants are not completely white, and the suede will only get dirtier and therefor darker. But these look amazing and have a build-in wedge that lengthen your legs. I want these. And I need $660.

Winter Boots - pt2

Despite a severe headache and a cold, I forced myself outside today to clear the way. My cat won't go outside and is terrified of the snow you see. Only when I stepped outside in the snow, I realized how much it has snowed in my hometown the last few days. I'm so happy I bought some winter boots last weekend, 'cause neither my All Stars nor my Dior Sprint'ers, my only two pairs of flat shoes, would have survived the week.

Anyhow, may all of you be safely inside now, with a hot cup of cocoa. Happy holidays.

Winter Boots

I just broke rule number one when it comes to wearing my cape. These harsh winter times made my buy some snow boots yesterday at some messy little fake everything-store yesterday. My boyfriend keeps laughing at me, since he says it really is not my style when it comes to shoes, and he's right but hey at least my 50$ fake fur-boots survived our walk in the snow a million times longer than his silver Yves Saint Laurent sneakers.

By the way, I'm still looking for the perfect kind of flat black leather riding boots and the ones by Hermès are definitely out of my league. Does anyone know a nice alternative?

BCBG Max Azria

I really need to head over to Maasmechelen Village, since these Max Azria-pony wedges, which we all spotted earlier here, are for sale at the outlet store.

Both my dad and my boyfriend think they're horrible. But I think they would look great match with a winter rock and roll-look. Last winter I found one pair at the BCBG-store at the Louizalaan in Brussels but it wasn't my size, so I'm hoping I'll have better luck this time...

PS: Still jealous of my sister's new wedges.

CD Sprint

Finally made it to the stores again. And this is the only thing I bought this sale-period. I've been wanting these shoes for six months now. I'm crazy for white sneakers, and the fact that these are all-leather is even better!

My sister got interviewed by girl-scene.nl. I love her interview and answers. Too bad some of the comments below are quite childish. Nonetheless, I don't care. My sister always looks amazing!

Christian Louboutin

I just stumbled on these Louboutin-pictures. Rumour goes that these are part of the brand's ad campaign, which apparently is a first since the French designer doesn't need to advertise.

What do you think of them? They've got that bizarre CL-twist on them, no?

Chanel

My mom is the best. She surprised my sister and me both with Chanel's latest Mademoiselle lipstick, each, while we only ordered one. Only an hour after she got hers, my sister took off with her friends and got to wear her new lipstick. Meanwhile, I'm stuck indoors working on my thesis. I still have quite a lot to do, since the deadline is the 17th of May, so I got up early and didn't even bother to put on a cool outfit today...

This in contrast to what I wore yesterday. I got to show off my new flats. I haven't regretted this purchase yet.

Oh and my sister and I received some very exciting news today, regarding our blogs. We'll reveal it in a week or two... 

Balenciaga

During the last few days, all I did was spend my time working on my thesis, analyzing those four movies again and again. Today I haven't even left the house even though it was such a beautiful day. So I don't care what I'm doing tomorrow as long as I can take these two favorite items out, preferably out in the sun!

Christian Louboutin

One of my favorite fashion related sites is Fashionair.com, so I check it on a daily basis. However, I had no idea that today their Christian Louboutin-film premiered, featuring the french designer himself. How I wish I could dance like that in my high heeled pair of Louboutin-shoes. They're comfortable alright, but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't try to do a little dance routine myself.

Shopping Spree

Thursday I received some very nice feedback regarding my exam results. And thus, I decided to go and celebrate. Celebrating to me almost equals to shopping. And so we headed off to Belgium's greatest shopping city Antwerp on Friday, and as always, it was totally worth it.

First, I spotted this Alexander McQueen skull shirt for men. I could not believe they hadn't all sold out immediately when the news got out. Now, as I mentioned before, I do wear men shirts, when it comes to McQueen -in size XS that is. But then I realized that I already have quite a few signature pieces by the designer. My boyfriend on the other hand, always bought his low-key designs, and now was risking to be left without an original skull shirt. So I decided to get him one, as a present.

After a delicious hot chocolate at Verso Café, my sister bought a new bag. I'm still so jealous, I can not get over it. Afterwards, I spotted some 'bling', at the Pinko-store. No way that I'm going to wear the logo-shirt that comes with it, but when it comes to brooches, I just have to have them. And this white 'Saint-Tropez' special edition version came with 3 pieces.

Oh and my sister saw the most amazing Nicolas Kirkwood-shoes, the ones she blogged about in October. True masterpiece indeed, too bad it comes with a matching price tag (€ 1100).

Since my boyfriend promised me a long time ago, saturday we went shopping in Brussels. I didn't see anything cool, so 'all I got' were the Chanel ballet flats I longed for, for a while now. Black leather, with a black patent point, easy to mix with my all-black wardrobe. I'm happy. We finished up with a great dinner at Cook & Book and his band's gig at the Belgian seaside.

NYFW

Tomorrow New York Fashion Week starts. And according to the weather forecasts, it has been snowing over there as well, very badly.

I bet the usual chaos over there in the tents will double; fashion teams, models, editors and VIP will run late, garments won't be able to be shipped towards the fashion shows...

And even if all that magically will be sorted out for the upcoming 7 days, what will that fashion in-crowd be wearing, in such cold and harsh conditions? I can't image some of the world's most renowned fashion editors -carless- to just show up wearing dizzying killer heels, even if they must be pros by now.

Alice au Printemps

If there is one subject I have been blogging about too much now, it has to be Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. The movie hasn't hit theaters yet, and I would already describe it as a fashion film, since so many top designers already have been inspired by Lewis Caroll's story.

My sister and I have mentioned the jewelry lines (Stella's and Swarovski's) and the editorial in Vogue's December 2003 issue. But do you remember the post about the Alice-window display at the Parisian department store Printemps? It's finally here -or there, to be more precise- until March 14th.

Nicolas Kirkwood's sketch has become reality. And I think the shoes are 'Alice'-inspired in an obvious way, but nonetheless very cool and clever. Both his and the story signature 'design' is incorporated in the shoe. Those window mannequins don't know how lucky they are to wear them.

The shoe designer states: “I think my favorite Alice character is the March Hare. You can see I’ve made his watch rather prominent. This was a different design process for me, because I’m not usually so applicative—typically, I’m thinking about line, silhouette. But this time, I figured, why not just pile as much as I can on top?”

And how I wish I could go admire the store's windows myself. Christopher Kane, Alexander McQueen and Haider Ackermann; I would go crazy.

Chanel Flats

I need your opinion badly: What do you think about the classic Chanel two-toned ballerina flats?

I am in desperate need for some decent, simple flat shoes since one can not wear high heels all the time, nor show up in casual all stars. After doing some research online, I found out that they are approximately 600$, which is pretty pricy. So I was wondering: Are they worth it or should I spend my hard saved money on something else? Does any of you own a pair? Feedback, please!

I love the white/black combination, but since they'll get dirty pretty quickly, I prefer the grey/black ones.

-Some of my friends say these flats are horrible and granny-like, but I absolutely love mixing classic, luxurious pieces with trendy items (think: a big, chunky old-fashioned necklace with a faded t-shirt and ripped jeans). I'ld give these shoes a twist, don't worry.

McQueen on Barbie

If I -by any chance- still played with my Barbies, I would loose those boring housewife outfits and give her a pair of McQueen shoes. I once heard about a study that said that if she was a real woman, she would not be able to walk due to her strange proportions. Well, let's give her something else she will have trouble with moving in.
